one thing i will really be glad to be rid of in the fullness of time

is my airport efficiency nerdishness. over the years i have become sadly utterly obsessed with getting in and out of the entire flying thing in the most efficient manner possible. i have cultured an approach centred on; how to get through security fastest, which queue has the people most likely to slow up progress, how to clear immigration quickly, where to sit on the plane for optimum safety/comfort, what luggage to take/not take, how to organise items in your hold baggage, fastest route by foot through an airport, if the plane exits to a transit bus instead of a bridge direct to terminal, how to weigh up the probability of which side to stand to exit direct into the arrivals/connections lounge, ensuring i have the right amounts of foreign currency in small notes to pay/tip taxi hotel staff and on and on and on. jesus.
