Obv it's a personal thing, but i prefer not to recognise birdsong

I love birdsong - it makes everything else seem OK. It's second only to hearing toddlers laughing in that respect. However, I think that learning to recognise it and match it to its individual birdies would rob it of its magic.

You won't be the first to tell me that's a loopy idea. It's the same with trees: it'd spoil it for me if I knew I was gazing at a larch. i just like gazing at trees. beauty shouldn't carry a label, if that doesn't come across as pretentious, which I fear it probably does. Soz.
