In a 46-game season, no signle result can ultimately be responsible for the final outcome
For every poor display against s**t opposition, there's an outstanding display against someone far better. For every piece of good luck there's a piece of bad luck.
We are bound to play poorly from time to time and I do think the sheer physical and mental intensity of Saturday was a big factor. I can accept the dips and the troughs because, invariably, the highs are far more frequent with this team.
If there are games that frustrate me, it is where we have dominated but not been rewarded - Hull for example. But even that can be countered by the positive of fortunate wins - such as Swansea.
Play poorly, get a point? That's football. Onwards and upwards.
