The final piece in the jigsaw, IF it is that near to completion would seem to be the classic little striker, the nippy pace man, the fox in the box, the penalty area predator...
We've had a few. Mark Robins springs immediately to mind.
Jamie C was the last brought in with that in mind, but it didn't work out.
I think Mark Robins, alongside Holt this season (the Robins 1992 model) would see them both on 12-15 goals already this season.
But....
Play Offs would be a remarkable achievement, and, as someone has already posted, if we finish top 6, then, whatever happens after that, this will have been a brilliant season.
Although it might not seem it at the time...
