We had same problem with them. We were paying around ?25 per month and had been in the house for 3 months, we rang them up to ask if we were paying enought and they said it's fine.

3 months later we got a letter saying we had underpaid, so they were upping our monthly payments to ?84, to cover what we had not paid and to cover future payments.

We soon moved
