I've spoken to them and apparently .........

there is no legal requirment to keep list of domestic properties that contain asbestos.

The guy basically told me to get confirmation from my contractor to ensure it is safe and to work in a way that reduces the risk if asbestos is present in the paint or elsewhere. To do that though is not practical and my boss would not do it i know as the jobs would take a lot longer.
