Happened to mine, its fairly common that the laser stops working entirely or after 2 mins
play though some dvds may be ok to watch. Search online for repair companies - had mine done last year for ?85. They send the old parts back too for some form of proof of work.
This often arises if you leave the machine on for long lengths of time without playing a game.
