Acer, Advent, Compaq, Dell, HP, Packard ....

I'm about to purchase a new budget PC, probably from PC World. The ones on their webby are all from the above manufacturers. Does anyone have strong opinions on any of the makers please? I don't know why but I balk at buying anything with Hewlett or Packard on the label. Possibly 'cos their printers are such utter bastards. "Cartridge IS empty. I don't care f you can see it's still one-third full, it's f**king empty, OK? ...............................................That's not a HP refill. I'm not printing til you buy a proper HP refill. (sulk)".
