I thought the comment about Ribbeck was interesting as

he was in charge of Germany's worst display in memory at a championship. How he got the job I'll never know, good section on it in Tor! if I remember rightly. The Bayern side he managed came 2nd in the league, not sure who to but with the talent at his disposal he should have done better that season. Ribbeck won the UEFA Cup in the 80's with Bayer Leverkusen after that he flattered to deceive. The fact Walker managed to show him up over them 2 games was the sign he hadn't kept up with the times. Both managers however after that game never achieved anything else in their managerial careers.
