I think lambert has been expecting a game like this for a while in truth based on his comments after but he didnt help matters with the inclusion of mcnamee. I've nothing against tony mac but if you include him Holt has got to be 100% and on it, and he wasnt. We didnt get enough out of Martin and Smith was below par but still showed great touch.

Donny are one of the best footballing sides in the league and our stand-off approach played right into their hands. Lambert got it wrong and I hope he'll chalk it up to experience.

All that said though, their second goal was a gift and the third a deflection, so it's still narrow margins.

Eddie Ilderton is a terrible referee, but we knew that already.
