Thoughts from Satdee.

Good win, played below our best and won, we keep going, some real belief and team spirit there.

Rudd - 7 Solid - got a bit monged for a few misplaced kicks, not much to do.

Martin (R) - 7 Solid, becoming dependable, didn't do much wrong. Got uber-monged for a mistake (the over hit cross/try kick), the normals are just waiting for him to make a mistake so they can mong him.

Ward - 7 Solid - Out of position a couple of times but overall no problems.

Barnett - 7 Solid - Forming a decent partnership with Ward, not much got past them. V good in the air.

Drury - 8 - Dependable as ever, one great blocking tackle and later on set up winner.

Crofts - 8 - Excellent again. Pain in the arse for the oppo, some great and tough tackling, great buy.

Smith - 9 MoM fo shiz. Like Crofts everywhere, showed some great touch and awareness when in tight situations. I really think he will go on to be a decent prem player.

Lappin - 7 Steady, slotted in well to the team. Nothing outstandingly good or anything bad. Decent.

Wessi - 7 Not his best game, just couldn't get away from his marker each time. Showed willing in attack and defence though. Had a big hand in ghoul 1, though he underhit the pass.

Holt - 7 Was a pain in the backside for their centre backs. One Zidane like run into their box that nearly led to a goal. Looks unfit at the moment to me. Catching up after injury pre-season. Will be back to his best soon.

Martin (C) - 8 Put his troubles behind him, worked hard and a classic finish from him. We were right in line behind him for the goal, lovely curve on the ball, he made it look a lot easier than it really was. Good lad. Just stop punching people (allegedly).

MacNamee - 8 - Made the difference when he came on, they didn't really change their team to adjustand with his speed and fresh legs made mincemeat of McEverley on several occasions. Great crosses with both feet. Our leading league scorer at home is OG both assists by Macnamee.

After our decent start we have two winnable away games up now. Doncaster & PNE. Win those two and we are flying. Would be happy with 4 points though and would take 2.

Whisper it but we are confident and on a roll with an excellent, and lucky, manager. I'd still be satisifed with mid-table but keep this up and in a few weeks we won't be able to help looking higher.
