I bowl chinaman

Which is pretty rare. Basically, I bowl the opposite way to most left-handed spinners. Where they bowl across the batsman, I bowl into them, using my wrist (whereas the majority of left-armers are finger spinners).

Unless you play to a pretty decent level, most spinners will only bowl one way, with the occasional variation. Mine is the arm-ball, which goes straight on. I've tried to bowl my version of the 'googly' or 'doosra' (basically, the one that goes the other way) but it's far too obvious. The one that goes on however is quicker and disguised well.

So, with regards to how you thinking, I haven't come across many Sunday players that think too much with regards to which way they'll spin it- most will just bowl the normal way.

For me, it's all in the flight. I bowl loopy and quite slow, so my wickets come in the flight. I stick mid-off and mid-on back and most of my wickets are caught in that region.

About as far as my thinking goes is the occasional quicker, flatter delivery or arm-ball to try and get a batsman bowled or lbw. Sometimes I may pitch it up to try and jam a slow yorker through and sometimes I pull the length back a bit to try and get someone mis-cueing a pull. That's about it.

I also resemble the South African 'frog-in-a-blender' Paul Adams, which i'm told is amusing (i've never seen a video of myself).
