I am inclined to agree with you.

Which is why you can fit a petrol pump into a diesel nozzle, but not the other way round.

I think some kind of labelling system ought to be invented, whereby the careless motorist can recognise the fuel type before detaching the pump hose from its resting place. And maybe also inside the car's fuel lid it should have a kind of sticker which reminds the driver to PUT FUCKING DIESEL IN THIS TIME YOU TWAT!
