I thought the reason he turned to loan players in his first season and saved us from almost certain relegation was because we had almost zero talent at the club.......and no money after all the para payments were pissed away by the previous two managers ??????

The trouble was he got carried away with the loan s**t in his second season.

Gunn took a position which was obviously beyond him yet he did make a few decent signings for very little money.
His biggest signing turned out to be pretty good value.

The fact he went against the mass loaning of players was a philosophy that Lambert/board have carried on.
