The last time I saw a badger was in the Spring of 2004. We were staying at Mungo and

Araminta's pile in the Cotswolds. Jolyon and Jocasta were there and we'd polished off a few bottles of shampoo early evening when Mungo suggested a badger hunt in the nude. Mungo's man, Creases, brought tilly lamps and we set off for the woods. There was a moment of hilarity as Jocasta caught one of her voluminous breasts on a bramble.

Mungo and I leapt the brook and headed for a set that he knew of. The girls had lagged behind and suddenly we heard a scream - we ran back to the stream to discover Araminta had stumbled trying to cross the stream and had fallen on the bank - a huge truffle had gone up her flange.

Later that night I went down to the kitchen for a glass of water and saw Minty bent over the writing desk - Creases was giving her a right rutting.
