no not at all. However being a customer and being a football fan are completely different

The perimeters are completely different. It's not about the money we spend on season tickets and matchday junk but the emotional, cultural and historic attachments to an establishment that should far outlive ourselves, our children and our grandchildren. Woolworths sold strawberry liquorice to kids and stoners, football clubs are central to a lot of communties and a lot of peoples lives

I agree though that something needs to be done by the government to safe guard this passion we all share, the one thing that still gels our society, that still makes Britain great (and we're running out of things)

It's all a bit corny and sentimental but my biggest fear in life, with death a close 2nd is waking up one morning and because of the actions of grey men in grey suits, I have no football club. I wish that on no one, to have go through my biggerst fear in life, no matter what the circumstances.
