True, especially as that church was

where they calculated ways to get to the island. Windows of opportunity (another maybe why Ben trusted Eliose over Charles)

So yeah, maybe other gatherings are there and we just saw Oceanics

That's why I like the beauty of the unanswered. Can be a cop out, but fit them all up how you want them too

I think that's why it worked and why people liked it, Lost was ours as well as the creators (bit of a w**ky thing to say, but I believe that. Too much went into it all, and we all absorbed that depth from start to finish, minus season 5, haha, get over it pants. Wouldn't surprise me if the creators didn't write season 5, just told someone else to do it all with the core start and finish point. Why else have 4 seasons similar emotional endings and questions, to then a 5th season of action, bollocks, time travel, bombs, 1950's ww2 camps, it doesn't make any sense. The finale had me wondering if I'd ever give season 6 a go. Then I started 6 and it had such a different angle, it was back to 1-4 feeling, it flew by nicely, and had a fine ending. This post has made me decide that season 5 was someone elses :D)
