My Dad's fault
Up til age 8 I supported all the teams my friends did, except Leeds because they were dirty. Around 1969 I began to notice that my Dad's moods were most variable around 5pm on a Saturday. And then one day Nodge were on our old black-and-white telly, beating someone 2-1 - actually I know who it was but won't say in case you-know-who corrects me - and I was immediately aware that I could no longer show fondness for any other team.
They called out to me, see. Groovy goes to groovy, innit. (sniff)
