I don't know what your little 'un is like but we've got a really good tempered 3 year old. We took him to a London Irish rugby game and he got peed off being in the same seat after 15 mins. Then he got shouty, Mrs Pieman took him out but we ended leaving before half time.
It's not so much the tight space but the crowd noise that scares the hell out of 'em...
