Haha and I imagine some of those designs can be a bit overwhelming

when covering a whole room. I love his stuff to bits though - and he was a good Socialist to boot.

Can you imagine how thrilled I was to find out he was born at the end of the road where my house is in Walthamstow? Elm House is long gone; but the firestation has a plaque on the wall and I always try to sneak "William Morris was born at the end of my road" into any conversation. I read, though, that Waltham Forest were withdrawing funding for the museum a bit further along Forest Road - not sure what happened to that; but it would be a disgrace if it closed.
