when they took the F1 over from BBC they did a fantastic job of it

there was just about never any build up on the Beeb.

on the Beeb it was just straight into races as part of Sunday Grandstand, maybe qualifying for the British GP, but only sometimes, cut straight back to show-jumping the second the chequered flag fell for the race, it was pony.

Beeb are pretty good at it now though
