yep - you could see the puncture. As I said, we were really 'lucky' in that we (well in fcat my husband) noticed it very quickly - so got there soon. The vet said that 24 hours later and it would have swollen massively and been very yucky.

Trouble is they're often tucked on the back legs/back where you don't spot them to begin with until they do start to seep and swell.
