Serious advice

Either (a) find a "collaborative lawyer" (GIYLF) or (MUCH BETTER) (b) try to get her to go to a family mediator.

Mediation is infinitely cheaper than litigation. It leaves many fewer scars. You end up with an agreement which you have both hammered out and agreed to. It really, really works. Mrs Git is a (rather part time) family mediator and I really can assure you, hand on heart, that it achieves astonishing results in the most unpromising cases. And it is SO MUCH CHEAPER!
