I think they're suggesting your firewall is blocking Spotify

and by reinstalling it'll configure the firewall properly. Do you have a wireless router? They usually have a built in firewall and that can be a bastard to configure (see port forwarding). Don't know much about spotify because the Swedes wont allow the Danes to use it.
