Could just be me being old and grumpy though.

Should we have a National Bank?

At least then if it made profit it could be pumped into the economy rather than making some already rich people richer.

Or it could be run not for profit so people were not stiffed on overdraft charges and the like.

There is something inherently wrong for me in a bank trying to make money from its customers.
Well, a huge profit from its customers anyway.
