Just back from the game

first half was very poor. Not at the races - they were first to every ball and pressed us deep inside our half, while having all the time in the world to play it around just inside their half.

Lucky not to be at least two, probably three, down at half time.

Better second half, but the red card f**ked us. Didn't think it was even a yellow - bloke came steaming in from Russell's blind side and ran straight into his foot. Almost a foul on Russell. Should be overturned.

Rose and Lappin were dreadful, Holt and Martin anonymous first half. Only Hoolahan played for 90 minutes.

But, on the plus side, Southampton have spent millions and we don't play them again this season. We're still four points clear of third, and we have players who are fresh to come in.

I do think it needs a change, though how we change it without pushing Hoolahan out wide I'm not sure.

Southampton looked like they'd sussed us and played the ball wide at the every opportunity. We had no answer to it and nothing wide ourselves.

We badly need Drury back.
