Maddened me it really did.

As does the continued use of that terrible synthetic version of (name escapes me) for the goal music. There were two or three versions around at the time we started using it, and one using proper instruments in a much more natural and traditional manner, which gave a much more pleasurable effect. They've got it badly looped too, so that when they play it twice it just sounds stupid. And it's stupid as it goes off in such a high key for the last line, that people are left struggling trying to 'sing' along.
