Richard Balls-up

Did a talk promoting his book on Ian Dury before Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll opened at Cinema City on Wednesday. His talk wasn't too bad, but he stumbled his way badly through a classic Dury tale - an excerpt he was reading OUT OF HIS OWN BOOK, mind! Also sounded like he was reading a piece of journalism, rather than the work of an author, but I suppose that's to be expected given his profession. Dunno if he's done any other books before. Was out in 2000 just after he died (Richard interviewed him and people that knew him in the 18 months leading up to his death), but I don't remember any local hype about it (the book) at the time...
