(Note: *looks* fine. By "checked" I mean that I looked at it, and didn't see any sparks, charring, flame or any other negative performance indicators).

Seriously, whichever c**t lived in my house before me and made a f**king bodge out of EVERY SINGLE DIY JOB POSSIBLE is probably going to be the death of me by some bad wiring or something I'm yet to discover.
