That's north of the old town square near the railway station

It must be behind the new shopping centre; but can't remember what it was like round there. The Jewish quarter is south of the square and the castle. Apartments are much better value and there's loads on the streets round the square (we stayed on Florianska). The locals were fine; but mostly kept themselves to themselves.

The info centre on the square can arrange trips to Auschwitz (grim as f**k obviously; but...), salt mines, Zakopane (mountains - longish trip though), etc. Schindler's factory is south of the river - wasn't an awful lot there when we were there a couple of years ago; but they were planning to expand the museum.
