I doubt it would achieve much though, as I doubt we'd get anywhere near enough backing from the fans that counted.
They would only shelves plans due to fan power, if it was the fans of the clubs involved that were walking out, staying away, and protesting the change.
Can you see that happening?
Why would any of these clubs give a flying monkeys about 5000 fans of various league clubs waving banners outside of Old Trafford on a mtach day? Or FA headquarters or whatever?
Its not like protests involving not turning up to our teams games would affect them.....
I agree with you though, despite my general grumpy negativeness today, its something we would have to TRY and protest against, and i'd be there.
I don't think it would work, but it wouldn't stop me trying.
