They and their recordings don't come close to last night's aural onslaught
it's simply impossible for me to describe just how damn f**king good live they were. The noise was tremendous; but not in a for-the-sake-of-it-turn-it-up-to-11 way. They look the most un-rock 'n' roll band I've ever seen as if they'd just been dragged out of the pub and handed instruments; but they know exactly what they're doing. Spoke to the bassist after - just an ordinary nice bloke.
I saw the Pixies a few weeks ago and they were tremendous; but The Twilights were even better. I'm almost tempted to leave work right now and catch a flight to Hamburg for tonight's gig.
