The club has been mismanaged for a very long time. The consequences of that will be with us, at the very least, for more than a decade, unless some fairy godmother can be found or we fluke promotion to the Premier League.
The Bovril thing is relevant because it illustrates the calibre of individual who was thought suitable to be Chief Executive and on the board.
