Nice post

Me, I'm not sure - how can anybody be? The players have a fair bit to answer for, but the buck stops with Nigel.

Managers DO become stale in a job - so do everyday people in everyday jobs. Bugger me, I have in mine.

The facts of the failures of Burley and Jones after relegation are interesting - I'd have to be able to contextualise in terms of being a scum/gold scum fan at the time to be able to judge, but in both cases it might have been a case of the managers failing to react correctly to the disappointment of the fall. Both might have turned it around, but we'll never know. Life, for all of us, is about how we play the cards we're dealt, and how we fight back from disappointments.

Me, I'm undecided. He can be absolutely infuriating in his blandness as much as in the failings you've detailed in your post, but it IS early in the season and there ARE a number of new players that need to 'gel'.

defeat against Stoke won't prove anything either way. Whatever, we ought to wait until January, and if that means making a bollocks of the season, so be it.

But if he signs a new CB and plays him with Fleming, *then* I'll be screaming Worthy Out........
