In the end he activated his release clause the season after and buggered off

The other didn't play in the fa cup, and was sold for 7.5m, didn't play for 2 weeks, and then played the last 15 minutes of games for 2 weeks before getting fit

Quite an elaborate plot considering he's on the verge of retiring at 25 wouldn't you say?
