I'd still class those as good seasons.

Trouble is, I don't think Worthy ever raised his game from that point; Huckerby et al got us promoted, which further hid the fact Worthy hadn't learned & improved, and now we're back in the Champ, he's got nothing to hide behind.

I don't think he's necessarily a bad manager, just not a great one and now I believe he's become stale and has no new ideas.

When your players aren't firing on all cylinders, you need the manager to be offering something, be it tactics, inspiration, or just plain old leadership.

I just think Worthington doesn't have anything new to offer, just at the time we need inspiration from somewhere. Unless he strikes it lucky with a wonder-signing (a la Huckerby), we're not going to progress under him. Just praying that our players suddenly find confidence & form from somewhere isn't enough IMO.
