Doherty was superb tonight... come on give him a break
Gotta say Doherty was superb tonight, and quite honestly I cant believe he gets so much grief on here..... Can you really say he is worse than Askou? I tell you that Dane will get found out real soon.
For a man who is over 6ft, Askou rarely wins a header and looks possibly the clumsiest centre half in recent years.... he looks clueless, and a complete liability so for me Doherty can stay there as long as he likes! (and tonight was one of his better outings and he still sh1ts me up)
Also a mention for Rudd, the best distribution from a city keeper in years, the kid looks super cool, composed and can launch an attack in one hoof of his boot, brilliant home debut.
I know a few of you will love a little rant on this, but Doherty and either Nelson / Spillane will be our best pairing this season, just hope they get a chance to prove it.
