Exactly. I don't beleive ref's make more mistakes now, not really.
THere are some cases, but a lot of that is down to the rules being much more complex then 10 or 20 years ago.
They also get asked for consistency one week, then common sense the next.
Mainly though its the saturation of coverage. If a mistake was made in a game other than ours 15 years ago, we be unlikely to see it.
Now we do, in detail, its impossible to avoid.
