Sky+ is brilliant - set things to record on your Sky+ box at home from anywhere. Good if you're away for the weekend and Mrs Of York declares she forgot to set the plus for Strictly Come X Factor.

Tweetdeck since you t**t a bit, that's what I use.

ECB Cricket for cricket scores, likewise the Sky Sports Score Centre for football.

Tunin.fm for streamed online radio stations, however mine seems to have renamed itself "iCarRadio Lite", so it might be called that now.

Shazam for identifying bits of music what you don't know the name of - that's rather good.

They're all free ones.

Camcan's photo tarter-upper is a paid-for thing now, I think.
