I've watched it back now. There's an opportunity between DB switching off the TV and him showing the numbers he's written down, where he pauses - they could have used that for the switch to pre-record.

And, of course it isn't 1/49 of getting the sixth number right by chance, it's more like 6/49, which is much more likely.
