Difference

Askou has made mistakes but it doesn't then send him into a flatspin. Mistake, resume calm play, oh and even score a goal.
Doc can be playing ok (this is me being charitable) but then as soon as he makes his first mistake he goes into full panic mode and starts the hugging and fouling.
And that, in particular, is why he should never be captain, because he has no ability to rouse himself, let alone the team, if an adverse event has occurred.
