There could have been a number of reasons. He could have had faith in Theo but a negative reaction from the fans could have had badly affected other players confidence.
Maybe he's not ready yet and they need to work with him more.
It's all speculation but everyone has a bad day at work now and again, doesn't mean they're s**t at their job.
