it was actually Joe Ferrari's From The Press Box, in the bit where he talks about meeting Bobby Robson

Delia invited Joe to go on a fact-finding mission to Newcastle to see how they did things behind the scenes, Bobby showed them round the stadium and he quotes Bobby saying to him "Look at these Joe....solid oak!"
