I don't concur totally with the Gunn hated him thing either - he brought him in for the Barnsley match when he'd been out of favour and he was included in the pre-season tour. I think there's probably a lot of stuff gone on behind the scenes that we'll never know about. It always seems to be fashionable on here that any manager-player issues are down to the manager being a codpiece, but doesn't it take two to tango?
Also gone back to South Africa shortly after becoming a father - and possibly with some desire to make it into th e SA team for the world cup.
