The person I was thinking of buying it for is also somewhat testy, so judging by what you say I'll steer well clear.
A mate has got a Wii and I've f**ked around on it once or twice and you're right. I presume it's some kind of graphics limiation that forces them to use those oh-so-Japanese childish characters.
Quite fun I suppose, but dunno if I could handle much of it. Personally, give me some Call of Duty style mass murder and I'm happy.

Anyway, do pray tell about you nutting your Wii.
To make it easier for you I should point out that I recently smashed the screen of my lappy by chucking the mouse at it in a fit of pique after I lost my treasured leather jacket and couldn't find the website of the place where I lost it
