It's interesting in a way

that Blair (and to an extent Kinnock & Smith) shifted Labour to the centre in order to become electable (or so they said). Then Blair shifted them after '97 even further to the right and Brown's done nothing to change that and now they appear unelectable. Though Brown never stood a chance really - the media didn't ever like him and the bust economy has finished him off.
