How does promotion and relegation work though?

What if the bottom three are all southern, does that mean no one goes up from northern?
Or does the lowest 'northern' team get relegated, even if they finished a couple of points and places out of the drop zone?

I'm not saying its a bad idea, (although some of the 'southern' games may be further for us than 'northern' ones) just wondering how that would work.

Could be exciting.
