Those of us who are not optimists

are not necessarily pessimists but realists.

It's a desperately poor appointment when looked at realistically, isn't it?

No experience, a dreadful introduction to management, no qualifications etc. etc.

I'm a massive supporter of the club and I know I can 'vote with my feet' as Sheffield puts it but I don't want not to watch. I just expect the team to be managed by a proper football manager.

And however stupid people might call it the view that Melissa Gunn has inadvertently damaged the history of our club is not that far wrong. Her antics probably did make a difference in January and only at a 'lovely family club' run by 'decent, genuine, lovely people' could it possibly have happened. It's a joke.

Damn the 'promote from within' policy. We needed a young, hungry manager from the lower divisions who cares not a jot about sleepy Norfolk values. Gunny is a legend but failure now will really damage that.

He asked for it. He got it. He failed. He asked for it again. If he fails again there will be nowhere to go.
