Unfortunately you've hit the nail on the head.

This is why we will be doomed again this year:

Because anyone else would have been able to take that team and turn it round in 19 games.

The last few days I've been thinking we need to get rid of gunny as he's not the man but it just dawned on me reading this post that the man for the job is the man that can keep the baying fans at bay for the longest whilst a good backroom staff team sort the f**king team out.

I say we give Gunny a chance now. His signings weren't that bad some were good. All managers at this level will and have made similar mistakes. Gunny just didn't really have time to deal with those mistakes.

Having said that I don't like the way he persisted with Lappin who shouldn't of even been at the club, kept playing Carney when he was obviously s**t and dropped Pattison for Rusty for no reason (though I have heard some pretty viscious rumours regarding this and if they are true Pattison is on his way out maybe even out of the game)
