a 'decent' job?

The man took us from relegation candidates, to a Play Off Final, then won us the Championship and got us to within one win of Premiership safety.

Yes, upon relegation things didn't go quite to plan but at the time a large percentage of our fans had jumped on the bandwagon after promotion and thought we had some devine right to be a Premier League Club.
